  • Hi! Just wanted to let you know that Earth (Continuum 1) has been added to the new RMR map. Also, now that there is indeed a map and the realms on it have definite sizes, I thought it would be good to ask if you wanted to reconsider the size of Earth (Continuum 1).

You may notice from looking at the new RMR map that Continuum 1 appears simply as a wedge in one corner. That's because, for map purposes, I assumed that your realm is a sphere 7950 miles in diameter (the size of our Earth with 16 miles of atmosphere, which would probably enough to fit Regna Caelorum, She'ol, and any other orbiting sub-realms). However, given that I had to make that assumption, and that that assumption both 1) makes Continuum 1 quite large compared to the other realms here (Greater Steam City, for example, is 50 miles in diameter) and 2) assumes a certain atmosphere size that may not be enough for you, I wanted to let you know about all this so you can make it larger, smaller, redistribute components, etc. If and when you do do that, please let me know, and I'll adjust the size of Continuum 1 on the map to fit.

Thanks in advance for any help on this! :)

    • Update: Aside from the size of the realm, you might also want to consider whether the realm should have some magical rule that shrinks all things inside it to, say, a 50th of the size that one would expect. This wouldn't affect the realm's inhabitants, but rather the outer shell of the realm in relation to other realms, making it easier for realms to work around Continuum 1 and all be around the same size. If you would be interested in such a realm-size-shrink, please let me know!

    • Yay! I'll do that when I get a chance to adjust the map and relevant page stuff.

    • Done! You can see the Realm-Mesh Reality diff here and the map itself here.
